Computer Essentials:
Wednesday May 2nd, 2012
10:00 - 11:00 a.m. (Multipurpose Room)
Right out of the box basics. Learn how to start the computer and use the mouse
and keyboard to becoming familiar with its operation. Learn how to shut down the computer properly and about the standard functions found on most computers.
You can become more comfortable with the computer once you have these basics to get started. (1 hour on week 1)
Email Essentials:

10:00 - 11:00 a.m. (Quiet Study Room)
Electronic mail is the easy way to communicate with friends and family at a distance. You'll learn how to set up your e-mail to send and receive messages and some of the important information about e-mail attachments and etiquette. (1 hour on week 2)
Internet Essentials:
Wednesday May 16th, 2012
10:00 - 11:00 a.m. (Multipurpose Room)
The Internet has volumes of information for everyone. This seminar will familiarize you with the basics of how to find the information you want on the Internet easily and quickly. As well, you will learn where to find learning opportunities on the Internet.
(1 hour on week 3)
"Hands-on":

10:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. (Parrott Internet Centre)
This session would be for the E-mail and Internet essentials where the clients would set-up actual e-mail addresses and test them. The Internet session would be to understand searching techniques and then search for various websites of interest to seniors as requested during the seminars. (2 hours on week 4)
